What to Bring and How to Find Us

The business operates from Halfland Barns, North Berwick, EH39 5PW near Tantallon Castle and next door to North Berwick Distillery. The garage is not always attended so please try and stick to the pick up/drop off times if you can. If you are outside of the times please give me a call, whatsapp or text on +44 (0)7809 428 414.

If you are arriving into Edinburgh Airport get the Airport 100 bus from outside of the terminal building and get off at Edinburgh Waverly station (approx. 25 mins) Walk down to the concourse and take the North Berwick train (approx. 30 mins) We collect you from North Berwick station.

What to Bring

Please make sure you bring the following with you on the day of collection.

UK drivers: Drivers License. License MUST have your correct current address.

Non UK drivers: Drivers License, Passport and ID card (if you have one)

Plus: 2 x different and separate Utility Bills per driver. This is an important part of the ID process as required by the insurers. The Utility Bills must be recent (dated within 90 days of first day of hire) and be from a recognised utility provider and addressed to the driver at his/her current address. Acceptable Utility Bills are home phone/internet, energy, gas, water, electricity, council/local authority, bank/credit card statement, savings statement, mortgage statement, pension statement, tax statement. If you have one of these the other may be a Student Loan document, shotgun license, payslip, mobile phone bill, pension letter, car finance statement, loan statement or property deed. They may be printed ‘e-statements’ what is important is that the name and address is clear and any sensitive information may be obscured.

Allow at least 1 hour for handover – there are a few items to go through and a short familiarisation drive. Bring soft bags You will regret bringing hard cases! Soft bags are the only successful way of utilising space well. Try to pack and travel light.

Van Drop off: Please allow 15 minutes and if there have been any accidents, breakages, failures, problems or loss of equipment you must let us know. It’s important because the next hirers holiday depends on it

Car Parking: We have limited parking which you may use at your own risk.

Pick up/Drop off: If you have special requirements such as collection from the station please have your times ready and communicated to me in plenty of time. It is appreciated that it may not be possible to be totally accurate with travel plans but please try and communicate progress if you are delayed.
